Santa's Secret Shop - 89 children shopped for parents and significant adults in their lives
Winter coats -130 were given to children and adults
Thanksgiving Dinner - 237 turkeys and gift certificates for meat were distributed
Christmas Dinner - 44 complete meals were distributed
Three Kings Festival - 117 children received gifts
Sneaker Distribution - 78 pairs were distributed
School Supplies -531 children received new backpacks with grade appropriate supplies

The Joint Neighborhood Project (JNP) has a strong history in Jamestown of serving those in need. Earlier than 1963 the congregation of Immanuel Lutheran Church perceived the need to provide children from the neighborhood with recreational opportunities. Hannah and Rudy Stapf were the church sextons who befriended the area residents and opened their home and hearts to the children. By 1969, the First Lutheran Church and First Baptist Church joined with Immanuel Lutheran Church and Joint Neighborhood Project evolved.
During the 70's, JNP grew rapidly in both service to the community and in reputation. In 1981 we became a non-profit corporation and United Way agency.
Throughout the years, JNP developed into a multi-faceted service agency. Our mission, helping people today and empowering them for a better tomorrow, guides all the programs offered at JNP. Our current programs include an Emergency Food Pantry, Nearly New Store, Community and Hispanic Outreach Programs, Live and Learn English Programs, Youth Programming including a Summer Day Camp, and Health Promotion activities. Joint Neighborhood Project is a private, non profit 501(C)3 agency.
